The Positivity Spectrum is pleased to announce its first fundraiser, a virtual garage sale. What is a virtual garage sale? It is a collection of items showcased for sale through an online event to be held on Facebook using our nonprofit’s page and the Facebook marketplace. The sale will feature household items, small to medium sized furniture, kids items, toys, etc.
The Positivity Spectrum is asking for the community’s help in preparing for our event. If you have any items you would be willing to donate to our sale, please contact us and we will arrange for pickup or drop off. Items for sale will be collected throughout the month of August.
The sale, which will be held the first week of September (directly following Labor Day) will be a chance for the community to purchase gently used items at fair prices while helping The Positivity Spectrum raise funds to send autistic children to camp with the support of an aide.
Executive Director Sarah Kovit Hanna said, “As a new nonprofit it is a challenge to build notoriety and start raising funds. It is our hope that by having an event that appeals to many within our community, people will show their support through donating and purchasing items.”
